3. Compare profiles — check portfolios, ratings, and past reviews from other customers.
4. Message before you commit — ask questions, confirm availability, and agree on scope directly in messages.
5. Hire — click Hire on the consultant’s profile or proposal. Funds are held securely and only released once you approve the delivered work.
6. Calendar Hire – Already have a freelance provider in mind? Choose the calendar option on their profile and check their availability – allowing direct booking on a times that suits you to get the work completed.

Yes — signing up as either a customer or a freelancer is free. There’s no cost to create a profile, browse jobs, or browse consultants. W4U charges a small monthly fee to be part of the group. (see “How do consultants get paid” below for how fees work).

1. Funds are held in escrow — when a customer hires a consultant, the agreed payment is held securely by W4U rather than sent directly.
2. Work is delivered and reviewed — the consultant completes the project (or a milestone, for larger projects) and submits it for approval.
3. Customer approves — once the customer is satisfied, they release the payment.
4. Payout to the consultant — funds are transferred to the consultant’s connected bank account or payment method.
5. Milestones for bigger projects — longer projects can be split into milestones, so consultants get paid incrementally rather than waiting until the very end.
