How to get paid
- Funds are held in escrow — when a customer hires a consultant, the agreed payment is held securely by W4U rather than sent directly.
- Work is delivered and reviewed — the consultant completes the project (or a milestone, for larger projects) and submits it for approval.
- Customer approves — once the customer is satisfied, they release the payment.
- Payout to the consultant — funds are transferred to the consultant’s connected bank account or payment method.
- Milestones for bigger projects — longer projects can be split into milestones, so consultants get paid incrementally rather than waiting until the very end

Get hire on contract based
For work that runs longer than a single job, customers can hire a freelancer on a contract instead of booking one-off tasks. Yes — signing up as either a customer or a freelancer is free. There’s no cost to create a profile, browse jobs, or browse consultants. W4U charges a small monthly fee to be part of the group. (see “How do consultants get paid” below for how fees work).
